Sandhill cranes (Grus canadensis) are long-legged, long-necked, gray, heron-like birds with a patch of bald, red skin on top of their head. the #sandhillcranes range is mostly central #florida to #southflorida and in person they make an impressive appearance. I wouldn’t let a small child get close to them.
