An iguana lazes on the pedestal of the bronze Barefoot Mailman Statue currently located in #hillsborobeach #browardcounty #florida #fl memorialized the 11 ‘barefoot mailmen’ who carried mail between #palmbeach and #miami before the two were connected by roads. The statue in Hillsboro Beach comemorates James “Ed” Hamilton who lost his life on the route suspected to have been eaten by alligators trying to cross Hillsboro Inlet.
